DAY 1 - THURSDAY ** choose from 4 dates

Arrival to Quito

Embark on this amazing adventure as you smoothly transition from Mariscal Sucre International Airport upon your arrival to the Wyndham Airport Hotel. A dedicated representative stands ready at the arrivals area, guaranteeing a seamless pick-up and swift transfer to your accommodation. Upon reaching your hotel, experience a cordial welcome and an efficient check-in process, laying the

foundation for an unforgettable journey in Ecuador. Accommodation: Deluxe Double Room at Wyndham Airport Hotel



DAY 2 - FRIDAY ONLY

Quito - Coca - Napo River

Early transfer to the airport in order to take your flight to the Amazon. After taking a short 30- minute flight from Quito to the Amazon city of Coca, located in the Orellana Province, we will transfer to the dock and board our motorized canoe to begin our 90-minute journey down the river, taking in the first sights and sounds of the Amazon. Soon, we will reach the Manatee Amazon Explorer and receive our welcome aboard. Once we have settled into the Manatee Amazon Explorer, we will be joined by expert local naturalist guides who will provide us with a brief and informative introduction to the Ecuadorian Amazon. After, guests will have their first opportunity to discover the exciting features of our cruise ship: spacious social areas, comfortable suites, and the observation deck that allows us to admire the

changing rainforest landscape as we glide down the Napo River. After dinner, we will plunge straight into the Amazon rainforest by going for a nighttime forest walk

(optional excursion) to observe the forest’s nocturnal activity and experience the thrill of the vivid noises and aromas that come from so much biodiversity

DAY 3 - SATURDAY

Pañacocha Biological Corridor

We continue to travel downstream to the Pañayacu River delta, where we will take a canoe trip to experience the sights of this fascinating water reserve. Pañacocha Lake is an ecosystem flooded by black-waters. Pañacocha means “Piranha Lake” in the native Kichwa language. The surrounding protected rainforest is home to 9 species of primates, 500 species of birds and more than 100 fish species. This is the perfect habitat for piranhas, paiches (one of the largest freshwater fiches in the word) and the white caiman. In this little piece of paradise, we will participate in nature walks led by our local naturalist guides, and relax at a nearby campsite where we will enjoy a delicious Amazon- style BBQ with refreshing beverages.

After lunch, we will do some kayaking, and the bravest among us can enjoy a nice refreshing swim in Piranha Lake! We promise it’s not as dangerous as it sounds! Back on board the Manatee Amazon Explorer, our guests will have the opportunity to attend a lecture given by our concierge and watch an educational documentary about the region.


DAY 4 - SUNDAY

Parrot Clay Licks - Amazonian Communities

This morning we will set out on canoes to observe one of the most incredible sights on this side of the Western Amazon – the parrot clay licks. This unique place is rich in minerals and attracts hundreds of colorful parrots, parakeets, and Amazon birds every day. Later in the afternoon, we will visit a Kichwa Cultural Center, where we will learn about Amazon communities and their ancestral culture, traditions, and cuisine. Members of the local community will teach us about indigenous lifestyles along the Napo River. Guests will have the opportunity to support the local community by purchasing handicrafts, local products, and souvenirs. Back on board the Manatee Amazon Explorer, we will be delighted with an exquisite farewell dinner.


DAY 5 - MONDAY

Coca - Quito - Imbabura

After an early breakfast on board, enjoy the last part of our return journey and disembark the Manatee Amazon Explorer to take the motorized canoe back to Coca (90 minutes ride approximately) and then take the transfer to the airport. After a 30-minute flight, touch down in Quito and get ready to immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery of the Ecuadorian Andes. Arrive at Hacienda Cusin and experience the special dinner menu lovingly prepared by the hands of those who strive to deliver the exquisiteness of Andean hacienda gastronomy.

DAY 6 - TUESDAY

Imbabura

Dawn at Cusin: select any of the several early morning activities. Upon wake up, a warm cup of coffee or herbal teas from our orchard will be placed at your door. Breakfast at Hacienda Cusin: a splendid starter to excite your mood to live a day full of rewarding emotions. Discovering the Hacienda’s Gardens. Explore the vibrant world of flowers and trees within the Hacienda’s serene surroundings and world- renown gardens, considered by the likes of renowned landscaper Frank Cabot to be among the most sumptuous and diverse in the world. Over two thousand species of plants and flowers grace our Estate. Lunch at Hacienda Cusin. Return to the hacienda for a farewell lunch. Weather permitted and upon request, this meal could be served at the magnificent garden. Afternoon Coffee by the Fireplace. Cozying up by the fireplace in the late afternoon is a hacienda ritual. Savor a cup of the best, richest, local brew and let the warmth of the fire create unforgettable moments of calm and meditation. Dinner at Hacienda Cusin


DAY 7 - WEDNESDAY

Imbabura - Quito

Wake up to a delightful breakfast infused with local flavors, setting the tone for a memorable day. Farewell: as time for check out approaches, the hacienda staff will make sure your stay was delightful and provide you with information on the smooth check out procedure. Upon arriving in Quito, your adventure seamlessly continues as you check into the Wyndham Airport Hotel. Indulge in a leisurely afternoon, allowing yourself to unwind and prepare for the incredible

adventure awaiting you the next day.



DAY 8 - THURSDAY ONLY

Quito - Manta - Islote Pedernales

Early shuttle to the airport in order to take a flight to Manta. Upon arrival, our discovery journey of coastal Ecuador starts in Manta, one of the most important ports in the country and a strategic location for tourism in Manabí. This beach city is internationally known for its fishing industry, whose star product, tuna, is exported all over the world. Shuttle service to the airport in order to take your flight to Manta. Upon arrival we will take you to the famous Artesanal Fishing Market “Playita Mia”; after this we will visit the “Refuge of Coastal Marine Wildlife Pacoche” in about 20 minutes drive from Manta. Afterwards, we will have lunch in the exclusive bar lounge “La Casa de Lucho” for a Manabita wood-fired oven meal; here we will have a demonstration of the “Toquilla Straw Hat” with local artisans.

We will board M/Y Kontiki Wayra for check-in and a welcome drink. Our concierge will introduce you to our crew members, go over the yacht areas and assign the staterooms that will become home for the next 4 days. In the evening, we will enjoy a welcome dinner hosted by our executive chef onboard. Overnight sailing to Islote Pedernales.

DAY 9 - FRIDAY

Islote Pedernales - Isla de Las Plata

We start day 2 at Islote Pedernales, a small islet close to Puerto Cayo known for its calm waters and pristine landscapes. After breakfast onboard, we will depart in one of our tenders to the islet’s surroundings for a snorkeling expedition. This is a unique opportunity to explore the submarine secrets of the area. From June until October, this also Becomes a privileged location to see humpback whales closely.

By noon we will return to the yacht to have fun in the ocean, relax at the hot tub, sunbathe in the Chill Parlour or enjoy some spa treatments. After lunch we will have free time for a private beach experience and will enjoy diverse marine activities such as snorkel, paddleboard, kayak or swim in our beach club which includes an oceanic pool, a water slide, SeaBobs, green golf, etc. We will return to the yacht for dinner. Sailing to Isla de la Plata.


DAY 10 - SATURDAY

Isla de Las Plata - Manta

After breakfast, we will start our activities with a wet landing in Isla de la Plata, which belongs to Machalilla National Park. Isla de la Plata holds beautiful natural treasures and a walk through its trails will take us to nesting areas of Blue Footed Boobies, Masked Boobies and Frigatebirds. After our land exploration, we will go back to the yacht for lunch. In the afternoon we will do a guided underwater snorkeling expedition to learn about the marine ecosystem in the island. We will be able to see a variety of marine species including giant stingrays, whale sharks, and turtles. During mating season, June to October, we will be able to see from the

distance humpback whales that come to warmer waters to mate and give birth. Scuba diving is available upon request at the time of booking. In the afternoon we will enjoy a sunset party* with the freshest seafood of the area and our signature cocktails. Sailing to Manta.


DAY 11 - SATURDAY

Manta - Quito - Home

B

We will say our goodbyes early in the morning, as your transfer to the airport will be awaiting at Manta’s Port Authority (TPM). Check-out and transfer to Manta’s airport in order to take your flight back to Quito in order to take your international flight back home.
