Home - Lima 

Take your international flight to Peru. Reception in Lima by the Sated Ventures team, and private transfer to your hotel. Welcome to Peru!

Day 2 - December 28, 2024

Lima

After breakfast, meet your private guide to explore the best of Lima!

  • Start at the Love Park in Miraflores for spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean.

  • Continue to the Huaca Pucllana, ceremonial center of Lima culture.

  • Later you will visit San Isidro, the financial center of the city, and take a walk in the olive grove park.

  • Visit the main square of Plaza Mayor, where the Government Palace and Town Hall are located.

  • You will also visit the Cathedral to view the handsome colonial façade.

  • Other major attractions include the Convent of San Francisco, built in the 17th-Century and home to mysterious catacombs.

  • A highlight will be the Larco Museum, set in an 18th-Century mansion built on top a pre-Columbian pyramid of the 7th-Century.

  • Observe the myriad treasures exhibited at one of the world’s most prestigious museums for gold and silver

  • Don’t miss the warehouse and the exclusive collection of pre-Columbian erotic ceramics, one of South America’s most popular attractions. 



After our visits, time to rest before we meet up again for the Lima Gourmet by night private experience.


  • Kick the night off by enjoying a Peru food tour that starts with a swanky beachfront cocktail at sunset accompanied by a fusion of flavors representing Lima’s traditions.


  • Head up the cliffs and into the past as you tuck into an array of delicious Peruvian dishes at the famous Huaca Pucllana restaurant surrounded by spectacular views of pre-Incan ruins. You’ll no doubt swoon just as other past guests like Mick Jagger, Gene Simmons, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss as well as numerous heads of state and members of the royal family.


  • Here you’ll try the best of top chef Marilú Madueño’s take on Peruvian recipes with another menu specially designed only for our guests.


  • We will then head to the bohemian neighborhood of Barranco for the last stop. In a house full of color and culture, we will lose ourselves in the culinary world with a creative and exclusive menu featuring the signature cuisine of a local chef accompanied by a delectable dessert.


  • Finally, take a nighttime stroll with a quaint walking food tour in Lima, around the bohemian Barranco neighborhood. You’ll get much more than a feel for Peruvian culture on this gourmet tour of Miraflores and Barranco!




Day 3 - December 29, 2024

Lima - Cuzco - Sacred Valley

Enjoy breakfast, then private transfer back to the airport for a short flight to Cuzco. 


Upon landing, reception and enjoy a scenic ride to the Sacred Valley. We will spend time in the valley to acclimate easier. En route to your hotel, enjoy a panoramic visit of the Maras salt mines, where the finest salt in the world is extracted: Maras salt. Then, you will head to Moray, a fascinating archaeological site in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You will visit its huge concentric terraces, which the Incas used as a botanical laboratory. 


Afterwards, we will head to Iskay Maras Home to enjoy a traditional lunch. Then check into your hotel and rest.

Day 4 - December 30, 2024

Sacred Valley

After breakfast, meet with your private guide again and head towards the town of Pisac. Before arriving, you will make a stop at the Taray viewpoint, where you will have an unbeatable view of the area. Once in Pisac, you will visit the ruins overlooking the Vilcanota River, which will amaze you for its fascinating architecture. Then, you will visit the colorful market of Pisac, where you will find various products of the area. Afterwards we continue to a restaurant in Urubamba, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch. Lunch will be a traditional plate called Pachamanca.


This afternoon, we visit the fortress of Ollantaytambo, military, religious and agricultural center of the Incas, located on top of a mountain. Afterwards, you will visit the town of the same name -which maintains the urban planning from Inca times- where you can walk through the picturesque streets and shop at the market. Return to hotel and rest.  



Day 5 - December 31, 2024

Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu

Breakfast at the hotel, then at the scheduled time, you will be transferred from your hotel to the train station. Train to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, meet your guide who will assist you with hotel check in, and then enjoy the ruins together! You will visit one of the most important tourist destinations in the world: Machu Picchu. Your excursion starts aboard a train towards the town of Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. 


The natural beauty of the surroundings makes the train ride the best way to start your visit. Once you arrive, you will begin the ascent to the ruins. This visit will, without a doubt, be one of your most memorable experiences.


After you reach the top, you will take a tour of Machu Picchu, learning the history and mysteries of one of the Seven Wonders of the World. And, with amazing sceneries all around, you will surely have more than one spectacular photo-op.


After the tour at your own leisure, make your way back to the village using the same shuttle you arrived on. Tonight, dinner at your hotel.

Day 6 - January 01, 2025

Machu Picchu - Cuzco

This morning, meet with your guide to return to the ruins for sunrise. Here we can choose a soft hike to the Sun Gate (start of the Inca Trail) or a strenuous hike to climb of Mount Huayna Picchu (2490 meters), Quechua for “Young Mountain”, on the eastern side of the Central Cordillera. The trail is steep and parts of it include several section of stone staircases carved directly into the mountainside. 


Lunch at Sanctuary Lodge arranged. At the end of the visit, you will board the bus that will take you back to Aguas Calientes and board the train to Cuzco. Finally, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cuzco.

Day 7 - January 02, 2025

Cuzco

Day to sleep in. You deserve it! This afternoon, meet your local guide to explore Cuzco together - You will visit the city of Cusco, known as the Imperial City and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

  • Here you will start your tour at the iconic San Pedro market, a local market where you can explore the colors, flavors and traditions of modern Cusco.

  • The visit continues with the Koricancha Temple, an ancient Inca palace and cult center of the Sun God, above which the order of the Dominicans built a church, which remains standing to this day. 

  • You will continue ascending to the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, an impressive example of Inca military architecture.

  • Afterwards, you will explore Q’enqo archeological site, where important Inca ceremonies took place.

  • Finally, you will arrive to the Plaza de Armas (main square), where you will visit the Cathedral, the most important temple in the city.


Finally fully acclimated, end the tour with our Cuzco cocktail visit. Visit 3 of our favorite restaurants in the Imperial City, to learn about local recipes of cocktails, while enjoying great atmosphere, landscapes and delicious appetizers that match perfectly the prepared drinks.



Day 8 - January 03, 2025

Cuzco

Palccoyo Private Hike

This morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco at dawn to head to the South Valley. After 3 hours, you will arrive at the town of Combapata, where you will begin the journey to Palccoyo. Before starting your hike, while you are getting ready, your guide will give you a briefing with safety instructions.  


  • Then, you will take the 1-hour road to , "the other rainbow mountain". Upon arrival, the beauty of this mountain and its landscapes will surely amaze you.

  • Next, you will have time to explore the area and take stunning photographs.

  • You will continue with the journey to the stone forest and the Ausangate snow peak viewpoint. Once there, you will have free time to appreciate the place and capture most impressive landscapes with your camera.

  • Then, you will head back following the same route. Finally, you will be taken back to your hotel in Cusco, stopping along the way for lunch at a local restaurant.



Day 9 - January 04, 2025

Cuzco - Lake Titicaca

Private transfer to the station, where we will board a beautiful train ride to Lake Titicaca. You will have an unforgettable experience. The large windows of the Titicaca Train will be perfect for observing every detail of the beautiful landscape in this route. Aboard this train, you will ascend until you reach some very high and cold places, part of the impressive Andes Mountain Range. 


Then, you will cross beautiful Andean plains, where you can observe vicuñas and alpacas in their natural habitat, grazing on the side of the road.

Then you will stop at La Raya, the highest point of the route, to observe the impressive landscape at 4300 meters. Upon your arrival, transfer to your hotel in Puno.

Day 10 - January 05, 2025

Lake Titicaca

Uros Floating islands and Taquile Island

  • The trip begins early as you head out of the city of Puno towards Taquile Island, about 35 kilometers away and 3950 m.a.s.l.

  • The culture on the island is old, dating back to Pre-Incan times. The islanders still live according to the traditions and beliefs of their ancestors and are world renowned for their lovely outfits and incredible textiles.

  • In fact, UNESCO has declared the textile art of Taquile Island as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

 

  • Next, while still on the island, you will visit the community of Huayllano, whose members will show you their normal artistic, handicraft, and farming activities.

  • After this time of sharing, you will enjoy a traditional lunch and then sail over to the famous Uros Islands, a set of man-made floating islands in the middle of the Lake Titicaca National Reserve.

  • Here, you will meet the islanders, hunters and gatherers and descendants of the first altiplano inhabitants, who still live on totora reed platforms.

  • At the end of the trip you will be taken back to your hotel. 



Day 11 - January 06, 2025

Puno - Lima - Home

(B)

At the appropriate time, private transfer to the Juliaca airport, and take flight to Lima. Tonight, connect with your flight home.
