Whether you want adventure, relaxation or to escape the summer heat, we got you covered.
HIKING IN PERU
Our summer season is Peru’s winter season, which means we can expect milder temperatures and less rainfall during the months of May-September. This is an ideal time to do some hiking on one of the many incredible trails of Peru.
a. Palcoyo Mountains: Also known as the Rainbow Mountains. The hike is suitable for all fitness levels at around 3.1 miles long. A few days of acclimation is recommended in Cusco since the elevation of the hike is quite high (16,400’). The Rainbow Mountains are composed of stratified layers of sandstone. These fine-grained rock layers contain large amounts of iron and other minerals, which give the mountains the pigments for the various colored stripes.
b. Inca Trail: In the Inca Trail takes you through the impressive Andean mountain range with stunning views and a glimpse into the rich history of Inca Empire. With every step, you will be transported back in time, walking in the footsteps of the great Inca emperors. The Inca trail winds its way through lush tropical forests, pristine high-altitude lakes, and mysterious ruins, offering an unforgettable experience that combines breathtaking scenery with rich cultural heritage. And we can't forget about a visit to Machu Picchu!
